Award for gene therapy research to stimulate retinal regeneration

A/Prof Raymond Wong and Mirugen Pty Ltd have won the Best Pitch Award at the annual TRAM Air investor breakfast hosted by the Translating Research at Melbourne (TRAM) at the University of Melbourne. This research advances commercial development of a novel gene therapy to stimulate regeneration of the retinal neurons, providing a novel treatment for patients suffering from a number of retinal degenerative diseases.
