Funding boost for gene therapy research for inherited retinal diseases

Dr Raymond Wong was awarded the CERA Innovation Fund to investigate the use of CRISPR technology to rescue inherited retinal diseases.


The CERA Innovation Fund from the Centre for Eye Research Australia supports promising research projects that investigate new ways of detecting, monitoring and treating eye disease.


"We are extremely grateful for the support from Centre for Eye Research Australia that enable us to develop a new gene therapy strategy using CRISPR to treat inherited retinal diseases." says Dr Wong.
