Dr Raymond Wong was awarded funding support from the National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia to develop a gene therapy to stimulate stem cells within the retina for regeneration.
The National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia support use of stem cells in the prevention or control of disease in human beings and to enhance public education in this field.
"We are very grateful for the support from National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia which provided critical boost to help us translate our work in developing a gene therapy strategy to stimulate retina regeneration." says Dr Wong.
