Funding boost for international collaboration between Germany and Australia

A/Prof Raymond Wong was jointly awarded the Bonn & Melbourne Joint PhD program to advance a collaborative stem cell research program with researchers at University of Bonn, Germany.

The international collaborative project will support two PhD students (Melbourne-based and Bonn-based) and strengthen research exchange between Germany and Australia to study retinal aging and test new methods to stimulate retinal rejuvenation.

"We are excited about the prospect of collaborating with international experts in Germany to understand the molecular roadblocks in retinal aging and develop new strategy to rejuvenate the retina. ', says A/Prof Wong.
