Funding boost for regenerative research for Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy

Dr Raymond Wong was awarded funding support from the Mito Foundation to develop new regenerative approach to treat Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy.

The Mito Foundation support research to end the suffering of mitochondria diseases. This includes Leber's Hereditary optic Neuropathy (LHON), a mitochondria DNA disease causing blindness due to degeneration of the optic nerve.

"We are extremely grateful for the support from Mito Foundation. This generous funding will enable us to pursue a pilot study to develop a regenerative approach to treat LHON." says Dr Wong.
