Boost for international collaboration between Japan and Australia

A/Prof Raymond Wong was jointly awarded the RIKEN-University of Melbourne collaborative project grant to initiate a collaborative stem cell research program with researchers at RIKEN, Japan.

The RIKEN-University of Melbourne collaborative project will support research exchange between Japan and Australia and strengthen research on the use of stem cell for eye research.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to link up with leading scientists in Japan and collaborate on developing regenerative approach using stem cells ', says A/Prof Wong.
