Boost for international collaboration betwen Sweden and Australia

Dr Raymond Wong and his colleagues were awarded the STINT initiation grant by the Sweden Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education to initiate a Australia-Sweden collaborative program on eye research.


The overall goal of this collaborative program is to initiate collaborations and enable knowledge transfer between the ophthalmic departments of Karolinska Institutet/St. Erik Eye Hospital and University of Melbourne/ Centre for Eye Research Australia.


As a co-leader for this research program, Dr Wong will coordinate and participate in research exchange with Swedish experts, with the focus to drive international research, clinical and teaching collaborations to accelerate research for blinding diseases.
